Overlander Squad is an independent website about overland travel: the vehicles, the gear, the power systems and the small decisions that make a long trip easier.
What we cover
- Gear: camp kitchens, chairs, communication devices, lighting and the rest of what ends up in the back of the truck.
- Power: dual battery systems, lithium batteries, solar and how to size them for the way you travel.
- Vehicles: builds, weight, tyres and news from the off-road industry.
- Routes and camp life: food, places and the occasional drone view.
How we work
Most of what we publish is research-based. We read the manufacturer specs, compare prices and look at what other owners report, then try to explain what actually matters for someone deciding what to buy or how to set up their rig.
- When we haven’t tested a product ourselves, we say so in the article.
- We link to the sources we used, so you can check the details.
- We use our own photos or photos with a clear free-to-use licence, and we credit the photographer.
- If we get something wrong, we fix it. Corrections are welcome.
Who writes here
Overlander Squad is run by a small team of overlanding and camping enthusiasts. Our contributors publish under pen names.
Advertising
The site is supported by advertising. Ads don’t influence what we write, and no brand pays for coverage. If that ever changes for a specific article, we’ll label it clearly.
